As a church, we are called by the Lord Jesus Christ, whom we believe is the Son of God, to bear witness by living His teachings
of peace and brotherhood and by being servants to the body of Christ. With faith, we affirm our relationship with other believers,
our community, and our denomination through an outreach of love, peace, and compassion. The mission of our church is to provide an
appropriate setting to enhance Christian nurture, through praise and worship. We become part of a gathered and spirit-empowered people
and therefore experience God's love and presence.
The denomination our congregation is a part of, has a rich history of
biblical faith, loving hearts, and serving hands that began in 1708. We love and care for others--the vision and mission of our denomination
is, "...to do what is just, to show constant love, and to live in humble fellowship with our God." (Micah 6:8) Woodbridge Church of
the Brethren is a family of Christ loving, nurturing believers who maintain the traditions of the Brethren heritage through the practice
of sacraments: baptism, communion, love feast, feet washing, anointing, and the dedication of children. Together with all Christians
we affirm that "there is one body and one Spirit."
We acknowledge the great contribution Christian principles have made to
the world. We are challenged to reach out so that His word and His influence might be enhanced through our efforts. We hope to assist
those seeking spiritual growth and renewal, through worship, study, teaching of the scriptures, and prayer. Woodbridge Church of the
Brethren strives to be a caring congregation through outreach ministries with love and concern for one another and the world.
